Summer Wedding

We attended Adam & Emma's outdoor summer wedding today, which was probably the perfect day to have had a summer wedding considering how beautiful it was. Unfortunately, due to the ridiculous amount of traffic there was heading to the venue we missed the entire ceremony. We got there when pictures were being taken and dinner was being served. It was a cute & intimate wedding. Rylan definitely had fun running around all over the place, & his favorite part would have to be playing with the souvenir bubbles they had.

All day we waited for the sun to come out & just when we thought it would never come out it did. We were able to spend sometime walking around Coulon Beach & Rylan enjoyed himself being by the water although it was scared to get near the edge. After spending about an hour there we headed home and decided to take some more family & couple pictures.

Father's Day Celebration

Father's Day weekend was actually a pretty relaxed weekend. Earlier in the day we finished up emptying our storage unit & donated 2 trips worth of things to Goodwill. My brother and I had decided last week that we should celebrate Father's Day at Famous Dave's -- which delicious as always. It's weird that we haven't seen my brother & his family in awhile, when we've been seeing them every day for the past 6 months. 

They came over the house after dinner & hung out for a little bit. Rylan and Allie played in his room & had so much fun playing with this little guy on the table. Ish got some really great shots with them. I can't believe how much they've grown, it seemed like only yesterday were they tiny little babies. 

I hope everyone had an amazing Father's Day & I hope that all the wonderful dad's were just as spoiled as I know us mother's were (:

Originally, we had planned to go put put golfing with a few of my co-workers plus a bbq, however the weather failed on us today & decided to postpone for a different weekend when it's at least not raining. The family just spent the entire day at home until Ish finally decided he wanted to go to the mall to look for a dress shirt to wear for my upcoming birthday celebrations. 

I can't believe I'll be turning 25 already, I'm sure I'm not going to feel any different but just thinking about gets me sad at how fast time seems to be flying by.

Destination: Portland, OR

After nearly a month, I've finally posted some pictures from the trip we took to Portland, OR during memorial day weekend. It's amazing how different Oregon is from Washington, so much more peaceful & slow paced - definitely a nice change to be somewhere where life can slow down even a little bit. It's something we definitely needed as a family to just get away from the real world for a little bit.

We didn't do too many things, I thought I would shop more considering there's no tax there but surprisingly I didn't. Definitely spent more money on eating than anything else - which I definitely am not complaining about. Buffalo Wild Wings was delicious & right now I'm craving an Old Dirty Bastard doughnut from Voo Doo.

Hopefully we can return again next year.
